members were honored for .perfect attendance at the Nov. 6 meeting and two

<p class=MsoNormal>Harding Shinn completed his 45<sup>th</sup> year of
perfect attendance and received a pin. When Harding started his string of
perfect attendance, achieving it was more difficult. There were only four
Rotary Clubs in Mecklenburg County and a member had only one week on either side
of a missed meeting to do a make-up. There was no e-Club for make-ups and
committee and service projects did not count as make-ups. Congratulations
Harding for an impressive achievement.<o:p></o:p></p>

Fund-Raising Project Succeeds<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Dilworth South End Rotary’s first fund-raiser in
cooperation with Dilworth and South End Restaurants raised $1,429 and
awareness of Rotary and our community projects among the restaurant patrons.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>Feedback on the project has been good and some restaurants
already have indicated a willingness to participate again. On November
dozens of Dilworthians and their friends went to lunch or dinner at one of
the participating restaurants – 300 East, Brixx, Dilworth Bar and Grille,
Greek Isles, and La Paz. The restaurants shared a portion of their receipts
for that day.<o:p></o:p></p>

and a 50-year member, died Monday, Nov. 9. A veteran of World War II, he
spent part of his time in the Army at Morris Field in Charlotte. He was an
Elder in Avondale Presbyterian Church where a memorial service was held
Wednesday, Nov. 11. He had a 35-year career in the hosiery industry and at
one time was Vice President and Sales Manager of Nebel Knitting Mills. Our
club meets in the former Nebel Knitting Mills building and Mr. Nebel was one
of the founding members of Dilworth Rotary Club.<o:p></o:p></p>

club while owing dues, good reputation, etc. Then, the Club members are
notified by the Club that there is a proposed new member. The proposal can
come to the Club members in the newsletter, by email, or any other method
deemed appropriate. The Club members then have 7 days to notify the Club
Secretary that they have a problem. Otherwise, the proposed member is
