Rotary Past President Wilson Roddye Caudle died Monday, Nov. 9 at Sharon
Towers. Roddye, 93, was a 50-year member of our club, but had resigned some
time ago due to poor health. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 11 at Avondale Presbyterian Church, 2821 Park Road. Roddye was
an Elder in Avondale Presbyterian Church. Roddye was a World War II veteran and
had a tour of duty at Morris Field in Charlotte. During a 35-year career
in the hosiery industry, he was for a time vice president and sales manager of
Nebel Knitting Mills. Our club meets in the old Nebel Mill and one of the founders
of our club was the owner of Nebel Knitting Mills. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
