up six Dilworth area restaurants which have pledged a portion of their
proceeds Wednesday, Nov. 4 to Charlotte Dilworth South End Rotary Club. The
committee has prospects of signing a few more.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>More than 100 World War II veterans received a
heroes’ welcome Tuesday night as the returned from a day in Washington,
D.C. on their Rotary District 7680 Flight of Honor.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>Family, friends and more than 40 Rotarians were there to
greet them, cheer them, shake their hands and thank them for their service.
They also were greeted by an avenue of flags held by the Patriot Guard and
some Boy Scouts in uniform. There also was a high school Junior R.O.T.C.
group in uniform. Past District Governor Joe Morris, one of several
Dilworthians there, made the estimate of the number of Rotarians.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>The veterans, ranging in age from 81 to 94 were tired, but
delighted with their experience. Welcoming these men and women home is an
uplifting experience more Dilworth members should experience next spring when
